My name is Reverend Laura Carey. I was ordained as an interfaith chaplain through the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine in 2011.

I am Hospice trained, with over 20 years of experience in non-medical caregiving. I am especially passionate about supporting both my clients and their loved ones through the end-of-life experience. More information about these services can be found *here and *here.

As an interfaith chaplain, I enjoy officiating at life events (such as weddings, funerals, baby-namings, house-blessings, etc.) to meet a wide range of personal needs and desires. I believe that spirituality exists in many different forms. In my own experience, while processing the death of my first husband, I discovered that doodling was, at times, the only way I could quiet my mind and pray. This practice has evolved into my own personal art form that I have enjoyed sharing with others.
